
In the context of the IFM Summer School, two programs each lasting two weeks will be offered this summer in partnership with the prestigious Central St Martins in London. The two programs will take place from 23 August to 3 September 2010, each including a first week in London and a second week in Paris.
Fashion and Culture in London and Paris: a general culture program to give an understanding of the creative trends in two of the world’s major fashion capitals. Conferences by industry experts, field visits and meetings with professionals. The quest for cultural references in London and Paris (“coolhunting”). Two fashion universes and their influences, their creative vocabulary, their industrial environment, their promotion and communication systems…
New Approaches to Fashion Design in London and Paris: intended for current students of fashion design, this program will help designers to construct and formulate their creative project under the direction of tutors from the two schools. In London, the students are guided in the development of their collection and the preparation of their portfolio. In Paris, they learn to present their design project, to develop a communication plan and to engage their public.
The two programs are taught entirely in English and will take place in London from 23 to 27 August and in Paris from 30 August to 3 September. Further information and on-line registration via the Central St Martins website:
