« WHITE PREVIEW » AT THE DOCKS EN SEINE

Opening party at the IFM‘s new space.

36 Quai d’Austerlitz : is the Institut Français de la Mode‘s new address, from December 15th onwards. This exceptional and still unfurnished location hosted the annual event of the IFM’s Design School on Thursday October 23rd (Fashion Design et Accessory Design Postgraduate Programs).

With 2000 green apples (juiced for the guests), the entrance hall of the future IFM provided the backdrop for a temporary exhibition of clothes and accessories from the 9 designers from the 2007 Design program: Wafa Aoun, Bianca Kuttickattu, « Pop » Khatikasemlert, Tobias Konrath, Mathias Jaquemet, Annette Frommer, Tara Henthorn, Susanne Schröder and Joao Pedro Filipe. The event was put together by Franc’Pairon and her team.

Reminder!
-Design from the IFM will be represented at the Biennale du Design in Saint Etienne, with the « I LOVE BERETS&CHARENTAISES » exhibition from November 15th to 30th 2008.

-Jakub Polanka (IFM/Création) has just been selected as one of the last ten designers up for the MANGO AWARD who will present their collections in April 2009 in Barcelona to pick the final winner who will receive prize money of 300.000 euros.
