CLASSES BEGIN FOR THE THIRD YEAR OF THE AMP IN BEIJING

The third year of the « Advanced Management Program in Fashion & Luxury » began on September 19th in Beijing. This training program in fashion and luxury management was developed by the Tsinghua University in Beijing in partnership with IFM and HEC and trains specialized managers for the Chinese market.

This year, 53 participants with an average age of 38 are signed up for the program. They are company directors or high level managers active within Chinese companies or international companies present on the Chinese market in ready-to wear, cosmetics and distribution. Since the AMP was set up in 2006, over 100 managers have been trained and now represent a dynamic network all over China.

The first of the six modules of this program was dedicated to fashion and luxury brand strategies in the context of globalization, with case studies on Gucci and Alessi. This class was taught by Alain Dumont, lecturer in strategy at HEC and by Xue Lei, lecturer in strategy at Tsinghua.
