Personalized advice
During his or her year at the IFM, each student is encouraged
to build and refine his or her career plans.
Individual meetings are set up to help each student to orient
themselves according to their previous academic and/or professional
experience, their taste and strong points, and the opportunities
offered by the employment sectors concerned.
Practical advice on how to write a resume and accompanying letter
is also given.
Graduates from the IFM also benefit from this personalized service
whether they are taking stock of their career and their perspectives
or in search of a job.
Interview training sessions
During the year, interview training sessions are organized to
enable students to meet with Human Resources managers and recruitment
firms during their school year.
These sessions are organized in May and accompany the search
for internships. Each year around fifteen companies are involved
including Yves Saint Laurent, LOréal Division Produits
de Luxe, Printemps department store, Floriane de Saint Pierre,
Etam, Celine, Kenzo, Bon Marché department store
.
Graduate career opportunities
The IFM's real concern with the employability of its graduates
constitutes a career accelerator in the fashion and design sector.
Indeed, over 80% of our graduates are hired by a company in
the sector in the 9 months after graduation.
The jobs proposed to graduates are in various areas including
:
Product management (junior product managers, buyers,
collection assistants)
Visual merchandising (merchandisers)
Retail (assistant network head, assistant boutique manager,
head of department)
Communications (in charge of visual identity, public
relations, press)
Production and Logistics
The POSTGRADUATE PROGRAM IN FASHION, DESIGN & LUXURY MANAGEMENT also
enables young professionals with a few years experience to enter
the world of fashion and design. In fact, a good understanding
of the importance of the relationship between management and
design is an undeniable advantage in progressing and quickly
taking on management responsibilities.
