Please note that applications are now closed for the September 2018 intake. As of September 2019, we will be offering two new programs: a 3-year Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Design and a 2-year Master of Arts in Fashion Design. Information about admissions process for these programs will be published shortly. Please chek out our website for updated details.

Admissions process (Sep 2018 intake)

To apply to IFM’s Fashion Design Postgraduate Program, you must already have a 4-year BA (Bachelor of Arts or the equivalent according to international standards) from an Art, Design, Style or Architecture school.

Exceptions are possible for high-level creative profiles, reinforced by significant professional experience.

Fluent English is required.

In order to select students from all around the world, a specific three-stage admissions process applies:

1- Submission of a written application file which enables the candidate to present his/her creative universe, achievements, previous experience, professional objectives and motivations

Application fee: 100 € non refundable (see settlement terms on page 4 of the application document)

2- Shortlisted candidates are requested to submit a creative project according to a given assignment.

3- The admissions jury reviews material and selects candidates for a final round interview (phone or online).

The admission jury is composed of members of the IFM teaching staff and industry professionals.

Tuition fees and financing

Tuition fees for the 2018/2019 academic year are 13,500.

  • This includes:
  • teaching
  • the development of prototypes with industry and fashion houses
  • transport and accommodation costs for all outside trips.

Thanks to the sponsorship of the corporate members of Cercle IFM, need-based scholarships are available, based upon financial criteria. In 2015, 55% of Fashion Design students received a scholarship, which covered one part of their tuition fees. IFM scholarships may be combined with other types of scholarships (CROUS, etc.).

The following students are not eligible to the IFM scholarship scheme:
- Students who are 29 years of age and above on Sept 1st of the academic year for which they are enrolled
- Students on French individual training leave (CIF)


Alumni Association fees

Lifetime contribution to the Alumni Association : €300
