The year of study at IFM finishes with a three-month internship in a company. This internship reinforces the contacts between the designers and the professionals. Examples of companies that hire IFM interns: Balenciaga, Celine, Chloé, Hermès, Pierre Hardy, Givenchy, Lanvin, Louis Vuitton...

IFM is a career accelerator. Absolute priority is given to the « employability » of the students. During their year at IFM, designers are personally coached by the team from the Recruitment and Career Management which organizes meetings with HR directors from the best known fashion and couture houses as well as with international head hunters.

At the end of the academic year, over half the graduates from the Design school go to work in well-known design studios such as: Acné, Celine, Hermès, Carven, Diesel, Tom Ford... others create their own brand or line of accessories: for example Natalia Brilli (Andam 2006).

DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR

IFM connects you with recruiters and companies:

Individual meetings with HR managers.

Companies come to present their activities and jobs open to IFM graduates.

Companies and headhunters publish job offers aimed at graduates.

Individual coaching: each student is given help so far and their professional plans and ambitions in a creative form, they are individually prepared for interviews, debriefed afterwards and benefit from individual follow-up.

Over 200 internships available each year.

Each student must do an internship of at least three months and at most six months (from July to December of the year of graduation). It provides an opportunity to put into practice the skills and knowledge acquired at the IFM, and to make one’s first steps professionally. It often represents a real opportunity for employment.

THROUGHOUT YOUR CAREER

The Recruitment & Career Management department helps graduates in their relationships with the businesses in the sector and accompanies them throughout their career.

Graduates can take advantage of the alumni network, of the alumni directory and solid links in France and abroad.

IFM Postgraduate Program in Fashion Design is seen as a « label » of legitimacy that highly valued by companies.

Over 400 job offers are published each year on IFM’s website. They are updated regularly and come from businesses in the sector and head hunters, and are exclusive to IFM students and graduates.

The Recruitment & Career Management department connects IFM graduates and companies in the sector by encouraging contacts and encounters between recruiters and candidates.
