Other key components of this Program:

Study tours

A 5 to 10-day trip to Italy to explore how tradition and know-how in design and craftsmanship have always been key success factors of the fashion and luxury industries. This trip allows for privileged access to places and people that embody heritage and innovation in design and manufacturing, from both artisanal and industrial points of view.

An optional study trip is also organized within France.

Language classes (80 hours)

French courses are offered in partnership with the Alliance française, France's leader in foreign language education. Classes are offered in small groups and focus on French language within the fashion industry, as well as speaking skills.

Those students who already speak French fluently will learn Italian, a key language for the creative industries, allowing for a more efficient communication with partners in Italian luxury, fashion and design.

Workshops and business cases

Including an interprogram workshop to kick off the year in interdisciplinary teams with IFM's Design, Management and Entrepreneurs students. In recent years, students have reflected upon the meaning of an "Act of Creation".

In addition, real-world business cases require students to apply the knowledge that they have acquired during the program and to present their strategic conclusions directly to the executive and human resources teams of the partner companies, such as Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior Couture, Chloé, Parfums Christian Dior and L'Oréal.

The program finishes with a six-month internship in Paris, elsewhere in France or internationally. IFM Career Management helps each student to find his or her internship via CV workshops, career and interview coaching as well as the organization of recruitment forums and company presentations on campus.

Recent students have carried out their internships or have directly secured full time employment within a wide array of prestigious companies, including Acne Studios, Alaïa Paris, Alexander Wang, Bershka, Céline, Chalhoub Group, Chanel, Christian Dior, Coty, Delvaux, Etam, Gap, Givenchy, Hermès, Jo Malone, John Lobb, Karl Lagerfeld, Kenzo, Le Bon Marché, L'Oréal Luxe, Louis Vuitton, Make up forever, Marc Jacobs, Matches Fashion, Max Mara, Miu Miu, Moynat, Peclers Paris, Prada, Proenza Schouler, Puig, Rick Owens, Robert Clergerie, Tag Heuer, Tommy Hilfiger, and Uniqlo.
