Course organization

Ten months of classes followed by a six-month internship, starting in mid-September. Classes start on Tuesday September 15th 2015 for the 2015/2016 academic year.

A two-week management & marketing boot camp will take place starting on Monday September 3thd 2015 for students who have no background in these subjects.

The first ten months of the course (from mid-September to mid-July) are dedicated to teaching, case studies and a dissertation. The core curriculum is taught in the first semester (the basics of the fashion, luxury, design, perfume and cosmetic sectors). In the second semester, each student chooses his or her « individual journey » (an in-depth study of one or more sectors or professions).

The course ends with an internship in a company of 3 to 6 months.

As the course syllabus is taught entirely through French (level B2 of CECR is required: a certificate has to be joined to the application), fluency in this language is essential.Teaching is in French and is given by the permanent and associate teaching staff at IFM, in addition to contributions from high-level professionals at every stage of the program.

Live case studies with company participation and creative workshops that combine marketing and creative approaches are proposed throughout the year.

A number of workshops bring together students from the Postgraduate Program in Fashion & Luxury Management with students from the Fashion Design Postgraduate Program.

Workshops are also organized with students and teachers from our partner institutions: ESCP Europe, l'ENSCI (Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Création Industrielle), the Compagnons du Devoir, Ferrandi, the French school for gastronomy...

Tours of companies, study trips in France and abroad (the United Kingdom, Belgium, Spain, Italy, Germany) are organized for the students.
