L'impact de l'image fait partie des éléments fondamentaux du système de la mode, qui accorde une place toujours plus importante au multimédia, univers en évolution permanente. La direction artistique requiert plus que jamais des talents ayant une vision globale de la stratégie de marque, de l'image et de la communication. De belles opportunités de carrière se présentent : merchandising visuel, événementiel, stylisme photo, analyse des tendances, graphisme print et web, etc.

L'IFM est un accélérateur de carrière. Priorité est donnée à l'employabilité des étudiants. Pendant leur année de scolarité à l'IFM, les designers sont accompagnés individuellement par le Département Recrutement et Gestion des Carrières, qui organise des rencontres avec des chasseurs de tête internationaux et des directeurs de ressources humaines d'entreprises renommées du secteur mode, de maisons de couture mais aussi de grands magasins, de groupes de presse internationaux et d'entreprises du secteur cosmétique et beauté.

MODULE #1 : FASHION AND TREND STYLING

FASHION STYLING & TREND STYLING, STORY TELLING & PHOTOSHOOT
After an experimental styling exercise, imagine a personal editorial featuring garments and/or accessories.
Articulate a strong statement and develop ideas and visual references.
Discover and understand the technical constraints.
Organize research, props, location, models, shopping and press release with a view to shooting it.

After meeting an established trend forecaster, imagine a personal trend forecast editorial.
Articulate a strong statement and develop ideas, storytelling and visual references.
Discover and understand the technical constraints.
Construct and organize the needed elements with a view to an extensive photo shoot.

MODULE #2 : GRAPHIC COMMUNICATION & EDITING

LAYOUT & VISUAL COMMUNICATION DEVELOPMENTS
Imagine an editorial insert for one of our partner companies related to a given brief.
Immersion into the values, the creative dimension and the lay-out of one of our partners magazines.
Visit of a production unit.
Ensure the development and follow-up of the project.
Acquire a mastery of all parameters ranging from graphic techno¬logy to pure aesthetics.
Presentation of the result in front of the partner representatives.

MODULE #3 : ART DIRECTION

BRAND NAME, EVENT PRODUCTION & VISUAL MERCHANDISING
Explore the brand concept.
Analyze the communication policy of partner brands.
Create a consistent, adjustable image using different visual aids.
Set up a design brief as artistic director.
Develop the capacity of working in a team on different sub¬jects such as: space analysis, exhibition concept, web design concept…

MODULE #4 : CREATIVE STRATEGY 

BUSINESS PROJECT, BUSINESS PLAN & COSTING
Organise and collect information with a view to producing the designed event.
Compare creativity, technical constraints and production cost.
Incorporate the components that determine both the up-stream and down-stream price.
Analyse the costs.
Draft a letter of intent.
Define a strategy and develop a financial plan.

PORTFOLIO CONSTRUCTION, INTERVIEW COACHING
Make digital presentations at the end of each workshop.
